St.George H.S.Thankey

On The way to Thottappally Spillway we get down In the Thirunada of  St.George.  .  St. George Forane Church Edathua, the renowned pilgrim centre which has been fostering since the begining of the 19th century, St. Mary’s Church Koilmukku, renamed as St. George Church Koilmukku, now better known as St. George Forane Church Edathua, is one of the prominent and prospering foranes under the Archdiocese of Chaganacherry.

We conducted atrip to the Ancient temple .The Ambalappuzha Sri Krishna Temple is believed to have been built in the year AD 790 by the local ruler  This temple is directly associated to the Guruvayoor Sree Krishna Temple. During the raids  in 1789 The Pal payasam served in the Ambalappuzha Temple is famous among Hindu devotees. This sweet Payasam made of rice and milk has an interesting mythological legend behind it.

We conducted a study trip to Karumadi  The ancient Statue of  Lord Gautham Buddha .Karumadikuttan is 9 th century granite statue . It is located in Karumadi village  of Alappuzha.it was conducted  by the Socialstudies club Leading by Mrs .Reethamma ,Soji vargheese

We conducted a Study trip to Thottappally  To get a direct View and to feel the beauty. Thottappalli Spilway was built in 1954. Due to southwest monsoon, flood waters used to accumulate in the rivers of making a second crop during autumn impossible. The spillway was constructed to solve this problem by diverting floodwaters directly to the Arabian sea. The National Highway 47 passes over this spillway.

Our school conducted a medical camp to find out the Blood group of our students with the help of Rotary Club Certhala. , Blood type is a classification of blood based on the presence or absence of Antigen substances on the surface of Red blood cells. These antigens may be differ depending on the blood group system. Some of these antigens are also present on the surface of other types of cells of various tissues

Rotary Club of  Cherthala The social workers distributed toys to our KG students the programe was conducted in the main ground , All the students and teachers gathered there for the programe . A toy is an object that can be used for play. Toys are associated  with Kids. Playing with toys is often thought to be an enjoyable means of training the young for life in human society. Many items are designed to serve as toys .

On the month of october we conducted a Cleaning Programe in our school to develop and explain the Diginity of Labour .'Work is worship' is one of the truest proverbs. The idea contained in the saying is this that all labour, manual or otherwise, is full of dignity and nobility. It equals work with prayer. It emphasizes the point that empty verbal prayers are not as valuable as real achievement in any fields.
